Story Line
The 3rd installment in the series, featuring the inovative, hit and hide
pedal system. This time the agent from VSSE Alan Danaway and Wesley Rambart
are up against the Zagorias Federation. Lukano, a small country facing the
Mediterranean Sea, was under the crisis of the invasion of Zagorias Federation.
The Front for Liberation and Independence of Lukano has been continuing
tough battles against Zagorias Army. They caught an information that Zagorias
Army distributed tactical missiles in the Astigos Island. If this information
is true, it is a fatal disadvantage for Lukano. Daniel, a young leader of
the Front and an elder brother of Aricia, organized a special task force
with some soldiers, his co-leader Jake and himself to confirm the existence
of the missiles and destroy them. They sneaked in the island but caught
by Zagorias Army. The war seemed to end by Zagorias victory. On the other
hand the range of the tactical missiles in the Astigos Island covers neighbor
countries. VSSE, anxious about the confusion of the world, decided to send
two agents Alan and Wesley. Players of the new versions are treated to longer
stages than in Time Crisis 2 and the new Weapon Selection System. When certain
enemies or background objects are hit the player will obtain new weapons.
The player is able to switch weapons by using a menu, which appears when
pulling the trigger while hiding from the enemy (when the pedal is pressed).
The player can change weapons by pulling the trigger again. The player can
then continue the game using the new weapon. The weapons cycle like this
hand gun - machine gun - shot gun - grenade bullets. Arcade players also
get to see Aricia Winstone (PlayStation2 Heroine) A soldier of the Front
of the Liberation and Independence of Lukano. She started action by herself
to rescue her brother. She will appear in the Arcade version and cooperate
with VSSE. Her own battles and story will be told in the PlayStation 2 version
when it is released next year.
