The gun used in the game includes, in addition to a firing trigger, buttons for use in event scenes and a shot selector. The shot selector allows players to toggle between three gun shots: standard shot, three simultaneous shots and fully automatic.

Ghost Squad is a gun game where players assume the character of a member of a special anti-terrorist force. The Ghost Squad's mission is to deactivate bombs and rescue hostages in a hostile environment. Ghost Squad has a few new gimmicks that add to the playing fun, it features an action button, through which players can access the shot selector menu that allows them to choose from a single shot, three shot (rapid) fire, and continuous fire. The action button is also used for fighting with enemies and deactivating bombs.

Also featured in Ghost Squad is an IC Card system. As with other games, IC Cards are used in this game for saving personal data, including stage level and items that you've collected in stages. You'll be able to make use of special items and costumes and even open up new events and paths as you play the game and save your data to an IC Card.
